Found in Travancore, Malabar Coast, some pockets of South India & Ceylon.
Uses :
Stomach and bowels, in catarrh and intermittent fevers.
How to Use:
Infusion of the leaves useful in catarrh and intermittent fevers ; Juice of leaves is administered to children in colic, dyspepsia and fever caused by teething. Vapour of the hot infusion inhaled and induces copious diaphoresos. Decoction of the plant is an excellent fomentation for rheumatic joints. Essential oil of this is used externally as an embrocation in rheumatic arthritis. Internally it is given in doses of 2 to 5 minims. The drug is used in scorpion-sting and snake-bite.
