Asthma

Other Names are allergic asthma, status asthmaticus. It is a condition of attacks of difficult breathing and breathlessness due to the contraction of the air tubes and accumulation of mucus.

Causes,  Incidence  and Risk factors :

Bronchial asthma is usually intrinsic. Although most individuals with asthma will have some positive allergy tests, the allergy is not necessary the caused of the asthma symptoms. Due to spasm of bronchial smooth muscle lending to narrowing of large and small air passages or ways with oedemia and inflammation of bronchial mucosa with production of mucous. Causes are Cold air, Smoke, exercise, emortion, infection, pollen, house dust (mites), gastric esophageal reflex, etc.
