Goiter

Definition

Goiter - enlargement of the thyroid gland causing a swelling in the front part of the neck.

Causes, Incidence and Risk factor:

 Primary causes:           Idiopathic auto immune disorders, Iodine deficiency etc.
Secondary causes:        Bituitary failure , Sheehanus syndrome.
