description & usage

Green viterol is ferrous sulphate. The drug is haematinic, emmenagogue, antiperiodic, anthelmintic and disinfectant. In larger doses, It is toxic. Used in anaemia, chlorosis, amenorrhoea, leucorrhoea, enlarged spleen and dysentry. It precipitates the proteids and hence disinfectant.
