Leprosy

Definition

Leprosy - chronic communicable disease to an acid-fast bacillus Mycobacterium leprae and characterized by the production of granulomatous lesions of the skin, upper respiratory and ocular mucous membranes, and  peripheral nevous system.

Causes, Incidence  And Risk Factors:

Chronic granulomatus infections disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae, and primarily affecting the skin and nerves.
