Plumeria is a medium sized tree usually used as ornamental plant in the home garden. The leaves are large, the flowers are numerous normally reddish colour.

The bark decoction is given for fever and to cure asthma. The latex is mixed with coconut oil is used to massage the joints in rheumatic pains.
