Punica is a shrub having pale brownish bark. The leaves are shiny green and flowers are orange red .The fruit contains a large number of rose colour aril .
Uses:
Dysentery, diarrhoea, to expel tapeworm, fevers, malaria, gastric problems, and asthmatic fever.
How to Use:
Leaf and fruit juice is given for dysentery. The fruit peel is used for both dysentery and chronic diarrhoea. Take 50 gm of the root and stem and soak in 1 litre of water, give half a cup at two hours interval to expel tapeworm. The bark decoction (15 gm. In 1 litre of water ) half a cup at three hours interval is recommended for fever, malaria and general debility. Fruit juice is given for gastric and asthmatic fever.
