Definition
Tetanus - an acute, often fatal infectious disease caused by a neutrotoxin (tetanospasmin) produced by Clostridium tetani, whose spores enter the body through wounds.
causes, incidence and risk factors:Tetanus is caused by the bacterium called claustridium tentani. These bacteria are gram positive in reaction and anaerobic. (They can thrive in an environment that is very poor in Oxygen or where Oxygen is even absent).
