Urticaria

Definition

Urticaria - a vascular reaction of the upper epidermis marked by transient appearance of slightly elevated patches which are redder or paler than the surrounding skin and often attended by serve itching.

causes and risk factors:

Transient wheals, few millimeters to few centimeters surrounded by red flare, often intensely itchy, subsiding over several hours.
