Uses:
Its uses are similar to thoes of Officinal ginger; it is carminative, stimulant in diarrhoea and colic.
How to Use:
Root has a pungent odour similar to a mixture of camphor and nutmeg. Root is found to contain more mucilage and sugar than that of Curcuma aromatica. This drug yielded to analysis - Essential oil, fat and soft resin, sugar, gum, acids, starch, crude fibre, ash, moisture, albuminoids, modifications of arabin etc. It is stomachic, carminative and stimulant. Useful in diarrhoea and colic.
